WILD ARMS 3

(as "Wild Arms Advanced 3rd")
Platform:

Duplicators

Throughout the game, you will come across doors, treasure chests and books that bear a strange pattern. These are magically sealed doors (and books and chests) that are locked by Duplicators. Duplicators are keys that are strewn all over Filgaia. When you find a door, chest or book locked by a Duplicator, go to the Menu screen and select a Duplicator from your inventory to open the locks up and grab whatever is inside!

Duplicators can only be used once, but they work in any Duplicator-locked object. There are a total of 40 Duplicators and 40 Duplicator Locks in the game, so you will not have to worry about missing anything. However, the general rule with Duplicators is that the chests and doors locked by Duplicators hold great stuff (and the chests are needed to get all 320 chests opened), while the books hold knowledge that is displayed here in this section. Make sure that opening chests and doors is your priority, and if you absolutely NEED to open every Duplicator-locked object in the game for a sense of completion, leave the books until the end.

Below is a list of the Duplicators in the game and where to find them, listed in the order in which you should acquire them. Below that is a similar table with a list of all the Duplicator-locked objects, in the order you'll find them in-game (remember, save the books for last!) Special thanks to Darth Mom at the GameFAQs Wild ARMs 3 board for helping me fill in the blanks here!

Duplicators

Location: How to Obtain:
Gob's Hideout In treasure chest with Right Half, you can't miss it!
Ruins of Memory Win boss fight against Janus, Romero and Dario; Romero drops this every time!
Claiborne In a haystack in the room beside the horse stables.
Serpent's Coils In a very easy to find treasure chest, in the room right after the first boss fight.
Ka Dingel In the room where you must turn the wheel valves to raise and lower platforms, there is an easy to find northern exit that leads to a room with 3 chests; one contains the Duplicator.
Little Twister Head inside the house between the Sherrif's office and the Saloon, then turn the valve to open the back door. Head outside the back door, toss the crate out of the way, and follow the winding wall to the west to a chest with the Duplicator in it.
The Unclean Mark After the room where Claudia *accidentally* nearly gets you killed with the gigantic steel pipe thing, there is a room to the east with 4 chests in it. One of the chests contains a Mimic fight, and this Duplicator.
The Unclean Mark Same as above; you get this Duplicator with the above one. Cool, huh?
Lunatic Garden Near the end of the dungeon, where you reach the "garden", you'll find it in an easy to spot chest.
Sand Canal In the huge, sand filled room shortly after the final Huskarls battle, you'll find this in a chest in the far northern reaches of the room; hit the switches with the Steady Doll and ride the blocks to get it.
Little Rock In a crate on the southern side of town near the ARMsmith. Throw the crate AWAY from the wall, or the key gets stuck in the wall.
Glimmering Emblem In a chest after the second "mirror" room.

Now for the locks themselves; use the table to determine what the locked objects are (doors, chests, or books), as well as the locations of each, and what they contain.

Serpent's Coils (Chest) This is rather hard to explain; but after the room with the "bridges" that can be raised and lowered with a switch, head west one room. "Legend tells of warriors capable of materializing guardians with their will, who rid the world of evil. These warriors defeated powerful enemies with the help of guardians, and developed a strong bond with them. It is worth mentioning that evoking guardians with one's will requires much concentration and cannot be performed successively without rest. However, these warriors with their strong bond with the guardians, were able to materialize the guardians many times on the battlefield. A powerful bond tied on the battlefield is unlike any other. It can be said that the strength of the guardian warriors derives from the strength of this bond.

Leyline Observatory (Book) In a room directly south from the first elevator, you will find this book on the bookshelf closest to the wall. "Some may boast about physical strength, and some may boast about magic. But how many of you boast about luck? How many of you out there on the battlefield take luck seriously? Well, let me tell you this. That powerful one-timer, the Critical Hit, and the ever so handy Defender; these skills are activated by chance and governed by luck. And what about those death blows and the various status ailments the enemies throw at you? These can actually be prevented by skills and luck. And the booby-trapped treasure chests you get after winning a battle--the chances of you successfully defusing it also depends on luck. It can be said that almost every action you take in battle is affected by luck. Having read this, I hope you take luck more seriously from now. If you do, there's no doubt you'll emerge victorious in the wasteland.
Leyline Observatory (Book) In a room directly south from the second elevator, you will find this book on the bookshelf closest to the wall. If your Migrant Level is 18 or higher, you can fight the optional bosses; 12 Adult Books!
Fortune Gear (Door) In the second room of the dungeon, when you see two staircases leading up, go up to reach the door. Behind the door lies a room with 2 chests Growth Egg. Also, the Black Box is here; if you have opened all 319 chests in the game, open the Black Box to trigger a boss fight.
Fortune Gear (Chest) After the room with the two staircases leading to the Duplicator Door, head through the lower door, then down the stairs. Check the northeastern part of the wall for a crack and bomb it; behind it lies a room with the chest. Migrant Seal

Ark of Destiny (Door) In the basement, door to the east of the orange block wall. Inside is a treasure chest, but you will need to use the Grappling Hook to reach it. Full Carrot
Ark of Destiny (Book) Check the bookshelves in the library. One of the books is locked. "Nidhogg is a greedy evil serpent. It heads to the grove with its jaws wide open, looking for prey. Nidhogg is a greedy evil serpent. Darker than the night, its jaws belong to two heads, acting as one. Nidhogg is a greedy evil serpent. Two giants wield their sword to exterminate the evil serpent. One of the giants heads to the forest with good intentions. One of the giants heads to the forest with evil intentions. However, neither of the two giants knew there were now two Nidhoggs. By knowing there are two Nidhoggs, one can infiltrate the core. Nidhoggs are greedy evil serpents. They head to the grove with their jaws wide open, looking for prey. Ark of Destiny (Book) In the library, use the Grappling Hook in the hook spot to get to the higher-up bookshelves. The locked book is on one of the above shelves. "The Ice Queen has been assigned to guard Mimir's Well, the place where wisdom is granted. The Ice Queen is a powerful entity stored within Hyades' data. It will eliminate the target without affecting the surrounding area. The activation password is: 'emeth.' It is a foreign word which means truth. I believe this password and the entity are appropriate for guarding Mimir's Well. The Ice Queen will target anyone who has not been registered with an authorized pattern, so please be careful. "Let us go back a thousand years, to the end of the great war. In the city, an eldritch generator was test-run under the supervision of the scientist Ajende. The generator deployed a certain kind of nescient barrier, called the wizardly stealth effect. The experiment, however, ended in failure, with catastrophic results. The barriers deployed around the city, reacting to Filgaia's magnetic field, lifted the city high into the sky. And what goes up... must come down. They say the great city instantly collapsed on impact with the ground. Many researchers died instantly. Others were afflicted with terrible side-effects from the overload of energy. The lead researcher, Ajende, miraculously survived the ordeal, but his reputation as a scientist was forever shattered. The wizardly stealth system was eventually completed by three engineers. If you ever see the gaping crater, remember that it is the final resting place of the city of experiments. Do not forget to take a moment to pray for the pioneers of technology and revel in their legacy."
