Description of Terms
HP
The amount of damage the unit can take before suffering losses (If you don't know this one then you probably don't play many RPG's).
This also determines how many of the unit you can control. You must have control greater than or equal to the HP of the army (total) to command that army.
You cannot hire more than you can control, but there are many means (such as a ghost's drain or clone/instant army spells) that can put you past the limit.
Damage
This number represents how much damage can be dealt with each attack.
Many factors can affect the actual damage dealt (such as morale, SL, and The Sword of Prowess).
Move
This number tells how many spaces the army can move in a turn.
If a unit uses up all of it's movement for a turn it may not attack.
"Fly" means the unit can move anywhere on the battlefield (that is not occupied by something else) then either move 1 space or attack.
If your army has only flying armies (not including sprites) then you can fly by pressing B on the world map, you can only land in grassy areas.
Cost
This number tells the price of hiring a soldier of that type.
Wage
This tells how much you must pay the soldiers each week, if you can't pay, the whole unit will leave your army.
SL
Skill level, this tells how skilled the unit is, which affects many things (for example something with a high SL will be more likely to win when attacking somthing with a low SL).
Morale
This is the morale type of the unit, this (with other factors) determines the units morale.
A | B | C | D | E | ||
Other | A | N | N | N | N | N |
Units | B | N | N | N | N | N |
In Army: | C | N | N | H | N | N |
D | L | N | L | H | N | |
E | L | L | L | N | N |
L = Low morale (if any low in army).
N = Normal morale.
H = High morale (only if all units are H).
The top is the unit whos morale you want to know, the side is the other units in the army.
certain units have low morale when put with other units, whereas some units increase the morale of certain types.
Morale can affect many things including the amount of damage done.
Home
This is where the unit can be found, for example:Sprites are found in forests, some units are only found at king maximus's castle (castle) these are the pictures of the dwellings:

Special
Special | Description |
---|---|
Shoot | Shooting allows you to hit enemies at a distance, you can shoot anywhere on the battlefield. Shooting does less damage than normal attacks but is still effective. You cannot shoot when there is an enemy unit adjacent to you. |
Promotions | These refer to certain units in maximus's castle that require promotions to hire. Cavalry requires one, Knights require 2. |
Undead | Undead are the dead that have been animated by magic to fight. Undead are effected by turn undead, the most powerful attack spell. |
Drain | When ghosts kill enemies half of the slain enemies become ghosts in that unit. This is an easy way to lose control of a unit. Another thing about ghosts is that if the week of the peasant comes while you have ghosts they become peasants |
Fireball/lightning bolt | Archmages and druids have the ability to cast spells to a devastating effect. Archmages can cast 2 per battle, druids can cast 3. It cannot be cast when an enemy is adjacent to the casting unit. |
Spell immunity | Dragons are immune to all spells good and bad. That includes those cast by Druids and Archmages. |
