Visit the Hero Lab. I was at the end of Chapter 2 at the time I visited so it may not be available earlier in the game. Speak with Lulu, the robot, the same robot that gives you access to the Tutorial Missions. Speak with Lulu and there should be an option to play Puzzle Missions. If there’s not, progress through the main story and check back later.
In the Puzzle Mission menu, scroll down until you see “Use a Giant Card”. It’s Puzzle Mission 005. Complete this Puzzle Mission for the Seething Great Ape item. You can equip this item to any character and unlock the ability to become a Great Ape from Round 2.
