Mario is the main hero of the game. He and his brother Luigi are taken from their home in the real world, and sent to this world, in order to save the Princess Peach. He begins as a very small person in this world, but soon will get power to aid him. |

When Mario grabs a Mushroom, he will grow to a size that is more formitable to his enemies. He is double his original size, and now takes two hits to KO. |

When Mario grabs a Fire Flower, he will be able to shoot fireballs at the oncoming enemies. He retains his large stature, and continues to takes two hits to KO. |
