Just Cause 3 is an open-world action-adventure game developed by Avalanche Studios and published by Square Enix's European subsidiary. It is the third game in the Just Cause series and the sequel to 2010's Just Cause 2. It was released worldwide in December 2015, for PlayStation 4, Windows, and Xbox One. The story of Just Cause 3 follows Rico Rodriguez, the protagonist of the series, as he returns to his homeland, Medici, which is now under the rule of the dictator General Sebastiano Di Ravello. Rico's aim is to liberate Medici from the dictatorship.
